Anybody familiar with pacific mexcio?

Im planning a trip for two weeks in mexico, around playa chacala and it surrounding areas...any suggestions on where to go? Preferably off the beaten path?

    i think it's near p.v., yes? if so, there's a small place called yelapa that's nice~settled decades ago by expat hippies, you can easily find a little home to rent for the whole time you're there~no hotels, no flash, really shanti. there's a road these days, but mostly unused except by the po-po, so you access it by boat from a small port village south of p.v. (ask around~a bus goes right to it). it's in a cove, with snorkeling and maybe diving ( i don't remember) and some nice little hikes, etc. the beach sand is coarse pebbles~good for exfoliating your feeties, but be prepared to wear sandals on the beach unless you're a bit tough..the only real tourism (when i was there) were day trippers, in and out in a couple of hours and just at the tourist restaurants on the beach where the boats land. the other side is for the locals. still many of expats and travelers calling it home...
