Has anyone been to the Mount Madonna in California? I will be there September 12-16 with my friend Lisa. Are there any scenic routes, traffic routes to avoid, anything to take to make our travels more stress free? Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated?

The trees are gigantic, the air clean. You should enjoy the
hikes. Bring wood, it will get cool at night.
Take a bag of apples to feed to the white deer.
There is a beautiful Buddhist retreat just outside the
park that is wonderful to visit.
30 min to the west is the ocean, my favorite beach is Rio Del Mar.
Free parking and not many tourists.
The road up will not be a problem.

I absolutely love Mount Madonna! It is a beautiful spot to be! They have new baby, fury, ducklings and the garden is sooo beautiful! I went to the PCC in Santa Cruz Thursday to have class with Babaji, studying the Gita and singing lessons! Wonderful. Rio Del Mar was breath taking, it is only my second time visiting the ocean. The fog is engulfing as are the Redwoods. I have lots of time to wonder the mountain on long hikes. Vinishu ma is the eldest living at MM as she is everyones' surrogate grandma, this experience has been encompassing & a long awaited vacation that I have put off for years. The Yoga at 6:30am is killing me, but is worth it because of all the walking/hiking! I love all of it.
